In order to produce the highest quality products, we are equipped with modern machinery and equipment.
Fabrication, Testing and Inspection are all conducted stringently in our state-of-the-art factories and laboratories
Materials
All of our Steel products are manufactured from high structural steel quality that conforms accordingly to ASTM A6, A 36, A572 and EN10025. Further, the steel material we use comes from reputable steel mills and mill certificates that will be demonstrated in all of our FAT reports. Additionally, our Aluminium products are manufactured from high quality aluminium alloy of grade 6063 – T6 tempered for the pole body. The high tensile alloy is produced through an extrusion process with a profile specially designed for lighting columns’ purpose.
Finishing
In Alupole, all our structures can come in a number of finishes. Even Aluminium, already naturally corrosion-resistant and where its finished extrusion product can be used as it is without needing any further corrosion protection treatment, have the opportunity in Alupole to apply for anodizing, epoxy powder coating, painting and any other required finishes. As per standard routine, Alupole provides Hot-Dip Galvanizing for all our Steel products. Of course, all our Steel Structures are also available to apply for any finishes required. For additional aesthetic value, our epoxy powder coatings and painting are readily available in their respective standard colour codes and any other specific
colour sought after.
Safety
When it comes to Safety, an Alupole product surpasses all others as Alupole products are specifically designed with safety in mind. With 30 years of experience in the field, Alupole has original designed Health and Safety rules, regulations, techniques and technology to ensure the production, installation, maintenance and use of all products minimise the probability of risks, dangers and harm to all involved during normal service. One original Alupole Health and Safety design is the superb impact energy absorption characteristics for “Street Furniture” products, where an impacting vehicle would suffer less damage and protect its occupants.
Fabrication
With Alupole’s Fabrication plants, all required Cutting, Bending, Forming, Welding, Galvanizing and Painting processes can be performed In-House, avoiding additional and more expensive costs to our customers. On top of that, each and every process during production is meticulously organised and stationed to ensure production capacity and flow is maximised to its fullest potential and maintains high product quality. To further ensure this, each station and its process will be closely monitored individually by Alupole’s QC department as they collaborate together with the fabrication team during the Ongoing In-Process Inspection and Routine Tests.
As we provide worldwide delivery, calculative Alupole fabrication techniques are applied to certify all product lengths comply with the standard container size and allow for perfect assembly with no connection failures during site installations, especially for large structures shipped in multiple sections. In addition, our techniques allow us to utilize slip joints which reduces the requirement for welding and the probability of any welding defects occurring compared to using ordinary flange joints. We also take specialized care to prevent unsightly welding joints on the product and corrosion due to dissimilar materials. Another specialized fabrication technique of ours allows us to achieve welding finishes of superior quality that promises long product life. Further, our Aluminium products are assembled with bolts or special connectors that complies with the Aluminum Extruders Council, USA requirements.
Laboratory – Steel Material Test
Here at Alupole, it is a requirement for all incoming raw materials to be internally tested per accordingly to our specific testing techniques within our plants to ensure the mechanical and chemical properties are as per declared within the Steel Material Certificates, and hence can produce the high-quality products aimed for. If also preferred by our customers, we can arrange upon request for Third Party Inspections by independent inspection bodies like SGS, TUV or Moody.”
Inspection & Testing
In Alupole, continuous routine tests are performed during all stages of manufacturing to ensure overall product compliance & quality. All our Structures are Trial Assembled prior to Mass Production for Quality Assurance and verification reasons. Where required, our structures can also be subject to Full-Scale Type Testing. We additionally provide Galvanizing Tests on all our galvanized steel products as part of our ISO 9001:2015 procedure. Full scale Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) are performed by the end of production where our clients have the option to follow and monitor the testing with their selected witnesses.”
Design Standard
We are committed to ensure all our products meet the relevant local and international standards. As such, our technical expertise covers standards for EN40, BS 5649, ILE Technical Report No.7, BS 8100, AS/NZS 1664, AS 4100, AASHTO, ASCE 10-97, ASCE Manual No.72, TIA/EIA-222-F, NSCP 5th Edition, IS 875, and BNBC to name a few. Any other required standards may be considered in the design upon request.
Design Software
Our engineering designs utilised are amongst the most dependable design software in this industry such as Staad Pro, Ms-Tower, AutoCAD & and even own internally developed software. Not only that, we also apply the complicated and advanced Finite Element Method application with efficiency and familiarity, immediately surpassing all our competitors in design and facility.
